These gentle giants of the deep swim past Forster/Tuncurry on route to the warmer water off the Queensland coast to breed and give birth to their calves. An estimated 8000 Humpback Whales made the northern migration in 2010. From July to September we also frequently encounter Southern Right Whales, Minke Whales and Bryde's Whales along with a variety of sea birds includingg Yellow Nosed Albatross and Wild Gannets. Dolphins are generally sighted on our whale watch cruises as well. Mid September to early December the mighty Humpback Whales return to our waters with their young. During this southern migration it's not uncommon to encounter the Humpback Whales very close to shore, resting, feeding and playing with their calves. 100% Whale GuaranteeWhale Watch Cruises Forster (Amaroo Cruises) offers a 100% WHALE GUARANTEE during the southern migration.
